A four-day workshop on the topic of ‘Excellent teaching skills and responsibility’ was organized with the joint efforts of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib and Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council, Ludhiana at Akal Academy, Cheema . Apart from the 150 teachers of different Akal Academies, several representatives from the various educational institutes of the region participated in this workshop.
The main objective of the workshop was to develop the moral values in the students according to the preaching of Gurbani, which inspires them to live with honesty, responsibility, make them hard worker and enable them to create a drug-free society. Dr. Virendra Singh, Chairman, ‘Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council’ addressed the participants on the topic ‘How to develop the moral values amongst the students’.
Dr. Davinder Singh and Dr. Neelam Kaur, Principal, Akal Academy, Baru Sahib were of the opinion that teachers need to understand the psychology of the students for their multifaceted development”. Principal Narendrapal Singh asked the teachers to evaluate their teaching responsibility. Dr. Sham Sunder delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Students never irritate’. Dr. Paramjeet Singh, former Director, Agriculture University said that only good company can create good human being. On this occasion, the Advisor of Education and Health, Baru Sahib informed that The Kalgidhar Trust is planning to open special cells in Akal Academies to make the society drug-free. Dr. Rajendra Singh, In-charge, Drug De-Addiction Center, Cheema; Dr. Onkar Singh; Dr. Monika and N.L Gupta opined that the life of youngsters is being destroyed due to increasing drug-addiction.
Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, President, The Kalgidhar Trust, blessed the congregation with his spiritual discourse during the last day of the workshop. Ms. Pushpinder Kaur, Principal, Akal Academy, Cheema, thanked the participants of the workshop. Principal Tejinder Singh, Principal Beant Singh, Principal Mandeep Kaur and Vice-principal Manjit Kaur were also present on the occasion.
