The Kalgidhar Trust sponsors three students of Akal Academy for higher studies in US
 

The Kalgidhar Trust has sponsored three meritorious students of Akal Academy for their higher studies in US. These three students; Manpreet Singh, Jasdeep Kaur and Prabhjot Kaur have also won scholarships in the renowned universities of US.

For the past few years, the Trust has been sponsoring several other students for higher studies in the universities of US. Pavneet Singh (American University, Washington DC) and Lovepreet Kaur (Wayne State University, Detroit) were sponsored in 2005 and Tejprakash Singh (Drexel University, Philadelphia) in 2006.

 
The profiles of the students:
 
Manpreet Singh
 
 
Manpreet Singh studied in Akal Academy - Baru Sahib from Grade I to Grade XII. He had an outstanding academic record.
Obtained 90 % in Grade X and 80% in Grade XII in the examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
Has been selected for Under Graduate Course in Computer Science Engineering at American University, Washington DC, USA.
Has been awarded Dean’s Scholarship worth $22000 at the American University.
Has been awarded Scholarship of $27326 by The Kalgidhar Trust.
 
 
Jasdeep Kaur
 
 
Jasdeep Kaur studied in Akal Academy - Baru Sahib from Grade IV to Grade XII and had an outstanding academic record. She stood amongst the first three in her class throughout her stay in Akal Academy.
Obtained 90 % in Grades X and XII in the examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
Has been selected for Under Graduate Course in Bio-Medical Engineering at the Wayne State University at Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Has been awarded Scholarship of $8,000 by The Kalgidhar Trust for her undergraduate studies in the US.
 
 
Prabhjot Kaur
 
 
Prabhjot Kaur studied in Akal Academy - Baru Sahib from Grade IV to Grade XII and had an outstanding academic record. She stood amongst the first three in her class throughout her stay in Akal Academy.
Obtained 90% in Grade X and Grade XII in the examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
Has been selected for Under Graduate Course in Bio-Medical Engineering at the Wayne State University at Detroit, Michigan, USA.
